DIPLOMA IN CIVIL ENGINEERING

The course aims at producing highly qualified, efficient technicians capable of meeting the requirements of the basic level of the Civil Engineering field. During the course of study , the student is exposed to various subjects of the Civil Engineering such as planning, Drafting(both manual and computer aided), Surveying, Estimation &costing, construction technology ,Basics of Highway ,railway, Bridge, Airport, Tunnel and harbor Engineering. It also offers adequate exposure to reinforced Concrete structures, Quality Control, Material Testing, Construction Management & Entrepreneurship, Professional Practice and Office Procedures. Students also get a feel of Extensive survey, building Drawing. Students are also exposed to software like AUTOCAD& STAAD.

Admission Qualification

The candidate seeking admission to the Diploma in any stream must have pass in 10th class or its equivalent in aggregate as well as in individual subject of mathematics, science from any recognized board /council.

Lateral Entry to 2nd year (IIIrd semester)

The Candidate who has successfully completed 10+2 in aggregate with physics, mathematics, chemistry or 12th technical or 2 years ITI from NCVT Board/Council.

Program Duration

The program duration for diploma in CIVIL Engineering will be 3 years comprising of 6 semesters but the candidate will have to complete the program within 6 years from the session of enrolment. Accordingly program duration for lateral entry students will be 2 years comprising of 4 semesters but the candidate will have to complete the program within 4 years from the session of enrolment.
