B.TECH IN CHEMICAL ENGINEERING

The purpose of this course will be to identify the Fourier heat condition equation. Steady state one-dimensional heat conduction through plane wall, cylindrical wall, spherical wall and composite structures. Heat transfer from extended surfaces. Three dimensional heat conduction equation. Numerical problems on unsteady state heat conduction through a semi-infinite slab; through an infinite slab, infinite cylinder, and sphere .Critical insulation thickness. The entire gamut will range from the syllabus designed so as to enhance the competitive requirement of the same.

Admission Qualification

The Candidate who has successfully completed10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or its equivalent with pass class Examination of any recognized Board/Council.

Lateral Entry to 2nd year (IIIrd Semester)

The Candidate who has successfully completed3 years polytechnic diploma from state technical board or its equivalent after 10th standard or 3 year B. Sc in any stream with mathematics as major subject is eligible to take admission in 2nd year (IIIrd semester)of B.Tech in respective branches.

Program Duration

The program duration for B.Tech in Chemical Engineering will be 4 years comprising of 8 semesters but the candidate will have to complete the program within 8 years from the session of enrollment .Accordingly program duration for Lateral Entry students will be3 years comprising of 6 semesters but the candidate will have to complete the programme within 6 years from the session of enrolment.
