B.TECH IN MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

This course will prepare the graduate mechanical engineers with knowledge, problem solving ability and hands on skills to enter carriers in drafting and basic design of mechanical components and systems. It involves the designing of machine elements, advanced drafting including three dimensional computer representations related to mechanical design and manufacturing methods. Advanced proficiency will be demonstrated on three drafting/design related areas consistent with the technical orientation of the program. With the manifold innovations in manufacturing technology, the demand for multy-skilled and knowledgeable Mechanical engineers have increased considerably.

Admission Qualification

The Candidate who has successfully completed10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or its equivalent with pass class Examination of any recognized Board/Council.

Lateral Entry to 2nd year (IIIrd Semester)

The Candidate who has successfully completed3 years polytechnic diploma from state technical board or its equivalent after 10th standard or 3 year B. Sc in any stream with mathematics as major subject is eligible to take admission in 2nd year (IIIrd semester) of B.Tech in respective branches.

Program Duration

The program duration for B.Tech in textile engineering will be 4 years comprising of 8 semesters but the candidate will have to complete the program within 8 years from the session of enrollment .Accordingly program duration for Lateral Entry students will be3 years comprising of 6 semesters but the candidate will have to complete the programme within 6 years from the session of enrolment.
